Fifty kilometers from Antalya, Saklıkent has two hotels, one with 10, the other with 15 rooms; a new hotel with a capacity of 200 beds is still under construction. Because of its southerly position, the ski season here is relatively short and the amount of snow tends to be fairly low. Nonetheless, tourists, who are staying in Antalya need only travel for one hour to reach Saklıkent. What makes Saklıkent so special is that if there is enough snow in March, you can ski in the morning, and then enjoy a dip in the sea at Konyaaltı Beach in the afternoon. Mount Tahtalı (2300m), near Kemer to the west of Antalya, now has a cable car and a ski resort there is expected to take off in popularity in the coming years.
