INGREDIENTS
350 gm coarse semolina
165 gm butter
420 gm sugar
3 1/2 cups milk or water
1 tblsp pine nuts

Melt the butter in a saucepan until fairly hot then add the pine nuts and semolina and cook over a moderate heat, stirring constantly, for 40 minutes until the pine nuts are golden brown.
Then add 3 1/2 cups of boiling water or milk and after mixing well, add 1 1/4 cups of sugar and mix again. Then put a loosely fitting lid on the saucepan, turn down the heat to very low and cook for 20 minutes. 3. Set aside to cool for 30 minutes, then stir the helva and serve hot or cold.
